About Me...
Drawing has been a passion of mine for much of my life. I started keeping sketchbooks at around age 7, and would sometimes write stories and illustrate them, even as a child.
Books were always a source of pure joy, as were all manner of toys. (Particularly plush companions, who would often find their way into my stories and drawings.)
Throughout my life, into adulthood, I've been driven by that magic and whimsy I loved so much from children's books and childhood, itself. Its the energy that drives me to create today, be it children's books, greeting cards, custom kids' portraits, etc.
Art education has also been ongoing, as I took as many art courses as possible through high school, and then proceeded to refine and discover my style and passion for children's art via Art Instructions Schools, which led to a full-time student career at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA, where I obtained a Bachelor's degree in traditional illustration in December of 2011.
I earned a full Master's degree in traditional illustration, specializing in children's books and greeting cards, in January of 2016.
